Privacy Policy

Winsmate Tweaks is built to respect your privacy. We keep data collection to the absolute minimum needed to sell and support the product. This page explains exactly what that means.

The short version

• The Winsmate Tweaks app runs on your PC. It does not send your files, settings, or personal data anywhere, unless you choose to sign in to the Community (see below).
• Signing in is optional. Other people only ever see the nickname and picture you choose, never your email or your Google name and photo.
• This website does not ask you to create an account or hand over personal details.
• When you buy, your payment is handled by Payhip. We never see or store your card details.

Information collected when you buy

Purchases are processed by Payhip, our checkout and delivery provider. To complete a sale and email your download, Payhip collects your email address and payment information under their own privacy policy. We receive only the order confirmation and the email address associated with your purchase, so we can deliver the product and provide support.

The website

This site is a static page hosted by Netlify. Standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) may be recorded by the host for security and reliability. We do not run advertising trackers or sell any data.

Visit counts. To know how many people visit and where they come from, each page you open adds one line to a count: which page, the website that linked you here (for example tiktok.com), a tag in the link if it had one, whether you're on a phone or a computer, and whether you clicked Buy. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't keep your IP address, so it can't tell who you are. The counts are kept with Supabase in London.

The application

The desktop app applies tweaks locally on your machine. It does not create a profile of you and does not transmit your system configuration. Signing in is optional and only needed to post, like or report on the Community. Backups it creates stay on your own PC.

These network requests carry no information about you or your PC:

• Update check. When it opens and every few hours, it downloads a small file from winsmate.uk and from our GitHub release page that says what the latest version is. If you press Update now, it downloads the new installer from there. Like visiting any website, those servers see your IP address; nothing else is sent. You can turn the check off in Settings.
• Ping. While the performance overlay is switched on, it opens a connection to a Cloudflare server (1.1.1.1) every two seconds to measure your ping. Nothing is sent over that connection.
• Game pictures. The Games page shows each Epic game's picture, downloaded once from Epic's image server and kept on your PC. Steam pictures are already on your PC. Nothing about you is sent.
• Ping and DNS tests. Only when you press a test button on the Ping & DNS page: it times connections to Epic's game servers and lookups on public DNS servers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, OpenDNS and the one you use now). Nothing about you is sent.

Clips. Instant Replay and recordings are saved on your PC (your Videos folder, unless you pick another). Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to post a clip to the Community.

Accounts and the Community (optional)

The Community page lets people share clips, crosshairs and overlay settings. Anyone can browse it and use posts without an account. To get a profile and post, like, follow or report, you sign in with your Google (or Discord) account.

• What we store: the ID and email address your Google or Discord account gives us when you sign in, the nickname you pick, the profile picture and banner you upload if you add them, your short bio if you write one, your posts, who you follow, and your likes and reports. A post is a short title with a crosshair or overlay code, or a clip you chose to post: a small copy of the part you picked (up to 60 seconds) with the game's sound, and your mic only if you tick "Include my mic".
• What other people see: your nickname, your profile picture (or the avatar you picked), your banner and bio, your posts and how many likes they have. Anyone can watch the clips you post. Your email address and the name and photo on your Google account are never shown to anyone.
• Where it's kept: with Supabase, our account and database provider, on servers in London. Your sign-in is saved on your PC, encrypted by Windows.
• Moderation: nicknames and titles go through a word filter, a post reported 3 times is hidden, and a profile picture reported 3 times is hidden. We can remove posts, pictures or accounts that break the rules.
• Deleting: delete any post (clips included) from your profile at any time. On your profile (or Settings, then Account), Delete account removes your account, picture, banner, nickname, posts, likes, follows and reports for good.

Third parties we rely on

• Payhip. Checkout, payment and download delivery.
• Netlify. Website hosting.
• GitHub. Hosts app updates.
• Supabase. Visit counts for this website, and accounts and the Community if you sign in (London).
• Google and Discord. Sign-in, if you choose to use it.
• Trustpilot. Where reviews are collected and displayed, if you choose to leave one.

Your rights

You can ask what data associated with your purchase we hold, and request its deletion, at any time. Because payment records are held by Payhip, some requests may need to go through them directly.
